Terms of Use
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and FELTIE LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company ("Feltie," "we," "us"), the developer of the Feltie app and the website feltieapp.com. Feltie is currently offered only in the United States. By downloading or using Feltie, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Feltie.
Please read Section 14 carefully. It requires most disputes to be resolved by individual arbitration and waives class actions, unless you opt out within 30 days.
1. What Feltie is (and isn't)
Feltie is a personal tracking app for people living with chronic conditions. It helps you log how you feel, your symptoms, medications and notes, see descriptive patterns in your own entries, and prepare for doctor's appointments.
Feltie is a general-wellness product. It is not a medical device and has not been evaluated or cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Feltie does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, monitor a medical condition, predict flares or emergencies, recommend treatment, or tell you whether an activity is safe. Comparisons and summaries describe your own entries; they are not medical advice. Answers from Feltie's chat assistant are general information, not a consultation with a doctor or other health professional. Never start, stop or change a medication or treatment because of Feltie without talking to a qualified clinician.
Feltie is not a healthcare provider and is not a "covered entity" or "business associate" under HIPAA.
In an emergency, call 911 (for example: chest pain, fainting, trouble breathing, signs of a stroke, or a severe allergic reaction).
2. Who can use Feltie
You must be at least 16 years old and live in the United States to use Feltie. By using it, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. Your license to use Feltie
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Feltie on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, resell, rent, reverse-engineer or distribute the app, except where the law expressly allows it.
4. Subscription, free trial and automatic renewal
Feltie requires an active subscription. After setup, you'll need a subscription to keep using the app. We offer a yearly plan and a monthly plan; the current price is shown in the app before you buy.
Free trial (yearly plan only): eligible new subscribers to the yearly plan get a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and you'll be charged the yearly price. The monthly plan has no free trial.
Payment: all payments are processed by Apple and charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase (or, for the yearly plan, when the free trial ends).
AUTOMATIC RENEWAL: YOUR SUBSCRIPTION RENEWS AUTOMATICALLY at the end of each period, for the same length of time and at the then-current price, until you cancel. Your Apple ID is charged for each renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
How to cancel: you can cancel at any time in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Feltie → Cancel Subscription). To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your access continues until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Refunds: refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds for App Store purchases ourselves.
Price changes: if the price changes, Apple will notify you in advance as required, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
If your subscription ends, the app stays locked until you subscribe again. Your entries are not deleted; they stay on your device.
5. Sponsorships on our website
Our website may let you sponsor Feltie for someone else ("Become a Hero"). Sponsorships are purchased on feltieapp.com, not in the app, and are processed by Stripe. They are governed by these Terms and by the details shown at checkout.
6. Your data and privacy
Your health entries, notes and files are stored on your own device, encrypted. Feltie has no user accounts and no server copy of your tracking data, and we cannot see or recover it. Apple Health data is read only with your permission, which you can turn off at any time in the Health app. Feltie does not sell your data and does not show ads.
How we handle information, including your rights under state consumer-health-data laws such as Washington's My Health My Data Act, is explained in our Privacy Policy: https://feltieapp.com/legal-pages/privacy-policy and our Washington Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy: https://feltieapp.com/legal-pages/washington-consumer-health-data
7. Backups and your responsibility for your device
Because your data lives only on your device, you're responsible for:
creating an export or backup in Feltie (Settings → Your data) and keeping it somewhere you control. Data that wasn't exported can't be restored if the app or your device storage is erased;
keeping your device secure: locked with a passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, with its software up to date, and not jailbroken;
checking your entries before you share a report with anyone.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Feltie to break the law, to harm others, to interfere with the app or its security, or to try to access data that isn't yours.
9. Changes to Feltie and to these Terms
Feltie may change as we improve it and as Apple or health-device permissions change. We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. If you keep using Feltie after the changes take effect, the updated Terms apply. Changes to Section 14 won't apply to disputes that arose before the change.
10. Ownership
Feltie, its design, characters, text and software belong to us or our licensors. The content you enter is yours.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
FELTIE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T PROMISE THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY COMPARISON OR ESTIMATE WILL BE ACCURATE FOR YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES. Some states don't allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF FELTIE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
This section doesn't limit liability that can't be limited under applicable law, including for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or claims under consumer-protection laws that prohibit such limits. Some states don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the app, or your violation of someone else's rights. This doesn't apply to claims caused by our own violation of the law or of these Terms.
14. Disputes: informal resolution, arbitration and class-action waiver
Talk to us first. Before filing a claim, please email support@feltieapp.com with a description of the issue. We'll try in good faith to resolve it within 60 days.
Arbitration. If we can't resolve it, you and we agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or Feltie will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration may take place by video or in the county where you live. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.
Class-action waiver. You and we may bring claims only on an individual basis, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative action, and each of us waives the right to a jury trial.
Opt out. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@feltieapp.com, with the subject "Arbitration opt-out," within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Opting out won't affect the rest of these Terms.
Rights that can't be waived. This section doesn't waive any right that can't be waived under applicable law. In particular, it doesn't limit any private right of action that a state law (such as Washington's My Health My Data Act) preserves for consumer-health-data claims, to the extent that right can't be waived.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and applicable U.S. federal law, including the Federal Arbitration Act, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This doesn't deprive you of the protection of the consumer-protection laws of the state where you live.
16. Apple-specific terms
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple.
Apple is not responsible for Feltie or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.
If Feltie fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding Feltie.
Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Feltie, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer-protection, privacy or similar laws.
If anyone claims that Feltie infringes their intellectual-property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when using Feltie (for example, your wireless carrier's terms).
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
17. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Medical Disclaimer (https://feltieapp.com/legal-pages/medical-disclaimer), are the entire agreement between you and us about Feltie.
